RYOICHI KUROKAWA in Paris

(English below)

RYOICHI KUROKAWA came to Paris in the end of January and we had small party at my place two straight nights. You can see in the photo above from left to right, SIMON who does DJ in Paris and i learned a lot of things about hiphop from him recently, Kawamura Yuki who released a DVD works on a French visual label lowave the other day, RYOICHI KUROKAWA and me.

RYOICHI is planning to have some shows and exhibitions in some cities in Europe soon, so please check his web and his works when you have a chance. He's a great visual artist, I promise. and Kawamura Yuki also has some LIVE shows with Yoshihiro HANNO and Ryoichi at some places too. It sounds fun..

We had rum blossom on that night after a long time. The color was really beautiful. I wanted to eat this without seeds 500 pieces at the same time with a spoon but i had to give up ;-)
Anyway, once i had 10 american cherries without seeds at the same time, and i felt like i ate one huge cherry and it was awesome :-) However you'll also get a lot of agrichemical with those american cherries at the same time but anyway, you should try this.

smart-010206.jpg

I heard honking horns from the street the other day and i saw a sight like photo above. A smart in the middle couldn't go out because of the other smart behind. This happens quite often in Paris but what about other cities in Europe or America? This never happens in Japan, I'm quite sure. I'm sorry for the driver of sandwiched smart, but it was quite fun to see from my window. It's really cold in Paris isn't it??

hi AOKI,
I think Ryoichi's works are amazing. I've actually just ordered his "READ" DVD from Japan last week. It cost me double the price of a DVD here in the UK, but I think it's worth it :-)
My DVD hasn't arrived yet, but I'm expecting it any day now. I'm very excited to watch it :-)
I bought "READ" after watching the sample clip on Ryoichi's web. The sample is very short but I was very impressed by the visuals and sounds I saw/heard.
I would love to have the chance to see Ryoichi's LIVE, I'm very interested to see how he performs his own works, but like other Japanese artists, it's very hard for me to see them :-(
I hope I have a chance one day...

That's a funny picture with the smart cars :-)
I remember seeing this all the time when I go to France. I see it other places too and it happens in the UK, but I think the French are the worst for it...what I've seen anyway.
I find it funny, but I also think it's very ignorant. I don't drive yet, but I know how I would feel if someone did that to me...
I've never been to Paris. I'm sure it happens alot more there because it's so busy...

I really want to see the LIVE review of Rokolective, will it be much longer?

best,
Murray Turner, Scotland.

P.S.- can't wait for your new album! ;-)

Murray.
thanks for your comment.
I'm glad to hear that you'll receive RYOICHI's "READ".
It is amazing works.. I really really love it.
I really don't understand why they don't distribute it in Europe, America and other cities. Please tell your friends about his works
if you like it.

>I really want to see the LIVE review of Rokolective,

I still don't get some photos from the organizer, but it won't be
that long this time. Just some photos as always.
thanks

That never happens here in australia. We have too much space. There are more than half the number of people on the entire continent than there are in Just tokyo alone. Hehe.

And for that reason we almost never get great artists here like you, ryoichi, yoshihiro hanno, taeji sawai, etc etc.

We do get F1 though. :)

As you're talking about Ryoichi in this post...
here is a picture of the live at Zurich last saturday.

His live was very impressive, images match the music in a perfect way. Actually I really like Ryoichi as a musician too however he defines himself first as a video artist.
We spent good time together.

short video there (52 sec., mpeg, 8MB):

p.s. i'm giving the link to the video especially for Murray because from his comment above I know he'll get crazy while watching this video ;-)

thank you very much for the video, jim!
this is the first time i have seen Ryoichi's LIVE, even on video...i just cant seem to find any on the net.
I think the other Japanese artists that i associate with AOKI, like Ryoichi, RADIQ, Nao, Taeji Sawai etc, I think they should all do what AOKI does on his web and post photos and videos in his LIVE review. I really like the design of AOKI's web :-)
ive just recieved my copy of "READ" from Japan today and i love it :D
the sights and sounds on this DVD are very inspiring and are a strong influence when im creating my own music.
Ryoichi is a very important artist to me, after AOKI ofcourse ;-)

thanks again,
Murray.

>>Paul
thanks for your comment.
I really wanna come to Australia someday to play.. I hope!
and Melbourne Circuit is one of my favorite! It's really exciting
circuit to drive. I've driven there with PS2 though..

>>Jim
thanks for putting Ryoichi's LIVE movie here.
It is amazing. His works are always amazing anyway.
I'm looking forward to playing with him someday again.

>>Murray.
I'm glad that you finaly got RYOICHI's "READ"! I'm so glad to hear
that you bought it even if it's double price because you had to
buy it from Japan... I'd like to say thank you for buying it.
"READ" is one of his best works so far, and I'm sure that he'll be better and better in the future.
I hope it was worth to buy it from Japan.
I hope our works will be distributed in all over the world someday in the near future.
We've been doing our best to realize this.

Thanks for your support to you all!
