(English below)

Me and Nao Tokui are going to start podcasting soon. Today we've just finished recording our first podcasting. Now I'm in Osaka, and Nao is in Paris, so we used iChat to do this. We're planning to upload it soon but this time we only have Japanese broadcasting. We're planning to do it in English soon, so please wait a bit. It's comming soon.

We're planning to update every two weeks from now, mainly we're gonna introduce and talk about artists around us, such as musicians or video artists e.t.c. We're plannig to have guests too. We hope that we'll be able to contribute to the progress of digital art scene in Japan and also in overseas. Please check it when you have time. I'd like to say thank you to Nao Tokui who asked me to join this project this time. Thank you Nao.

I wrote about this before but I'm going to perform at Fumiya Tanaka's party "CAHOS" on 2nd(Osaka SUNSUI) and 3rd(Tokyo YELLOW)of May. I'm kind of excited. Please come with your friends when you have time. I'm really looking forward to it!

hey Aoki
wow this sounds great, it's quite exciting ;-) i will be looking forward to this very much....thats if i can listen to it? can i?
to be honest i'm still not really sure about all this podcasting stuff. i just havent looked into it yet, but i know i really should by now...
so would i be able to listen to your podcast here in the UK? (even though i won't be able to understand what you are saying ;-))
The Japanese digital art scene is something i am very very interested in and this podcast sounds like it could be very important and useful for me, and ofcourse educational ;-)and i know there are many people like me who are very interested in whats going on in Japan but that know little about it because we never really get a chance to hear about it. Japan seems like a world away. Atleast it seems that way to me here in the UK ;-)
i cant wait!

I'm very interested in Nao Tokui's music. He is one of my favourite artists at the moment. I think his "Mind The Gap" album is really great...and I'm actually ordering it tomorrow :-)
I know it came out a while ago now, but you cant really get it in the UK......something your podcast will hopefully contribute to changing this ;-)
anyway, I have alot of respect for you and Nao.
thanks :-)

best,
Murray.

P.S- i find it hard to keep up to date with Nao, because of alot of the information being in Japanese on his website. Ofcourse, he is Japanese ;-) but it's alot easier to keep up to date with your activities because of the content you update on this website. I know what you have been doing and what you have schedueled and im always interested to hear, but with Nao i don't understand what it is he has been doing, but i can only watch the videos and listen to the sound clips he uploads...(which are still very enjoyable ;-)
anyway, thanks again.

Murray.

Murray
thanks for your comments.

>so would i be able to listen to your podcast here in the UK?

Yes. Podcast doesn't have any border. But unfortunately the first broadcasting was recorded only in Japanese. But you still can listen to some of our latest works on it. However I think it's gonna be good exercise for you to listen to Japanese language so that you'll be able to get used to it before you learn it :-) Anyway we're planning to speak in English some part in our broadcasting soon.

>i know there are many people like me who are very interested

I'm glad to hear that..
We Japanese have been importing a lot of computer music from onverseas since long time ago, but we did't really export Japanese electronic dance music or digital art(we've been exporting Noise music though). I think now it's time to export our kind of music by ourselves. We hope you enjoy it.
and hopefully you'll be able to buy or listen to Japanese music where you live just the same as European musician's works in the near future.

thanks.

yes, i hope so too :-)
...and yes i would still be very interested to listen to your podcasts whatever the language, and as you are going to broadcast your latest works on there, i am even more excited to hear it now! it's very cool, i can't wait!
...and like you said, it will be good to hear the Japanese language in proper context ;-)
so when can we expect to hear the first podcast?
thanks,

Murray.

Hi AOKI!
Hope you're fine.

>> (we've been exporting Noise music though)

That's right, a couple of japanese musicians are considered as Noise masters! Merzbow, Masonna, etc. By the way, Masonna did a concert in Lausanne last year... less than 30 seconds!

I saw that Taeji will be at Sonar. Great news.
Sonar has invited a lot of japanese artists this year.

I'll suscribe to your podcast.

See you
