I visited Tokyo after Nagano, and I met Mr.Akihiro Kamimura who makes models of small cars which is in 1/43 scale. You can check some of his works at his web. It's incredible.. They're all super small but also super precise. He brought one of his works when we met, and when i saw it, there were no words.. You can also check some of his working diary. Please check it when you have time. I'd like to say thank you to Mr.Kamimura for giving me a chance to talk to you and thank you for showing me your works. They were amazing.
I don't think you can feel how small this is from my bad photo.. This is super small. for real.
P I C A S S O "に行ってきました。
Right after i came back to Osaka, I went to club METRO in Kyoto to go to the techno party called " P I C A S S O " which is organized by two Japanese DJ kohei and KO-JAX. Kohei is like my techno teacher and also he writes my profles and press releases everytime. He's one of my best friends and I respect him as a DJ very much. I really really love his set all the time. Please check it if you live in Kyoto or somewhere around there. KO-JAX is also my favorite DJ. I think people who likes my music can appriciate what they do. Their next pary will be on 19th of December.
I'll have a LIVE show in Sendai on 18th. Please come when you have a chance.
Wow, hisashiburi ya nen! I saw you perform at METRO back in November 1999. It was an amazing show, and I still tell people about it. Your sound was purely digital yet sounded so warm and organic. The DJ who followed you was really good too - was that DJ kohei ?
I wish I lived in Europe or Japan so I could see you perform again, but I'm in Los Angeles. Please consider performing in the States sometime...

thanks for your comment.
Wow! You've seen my LIVE in 1999! That's really long time ago..
I don't even remember if i did LIVE at METRO at that time.. But I'm so glad that you still remember what i did at there. thanks.
I wish i can come to the States to perform someday too. Please tell your friends about me ;-) so that I might be able to come to your city in the future. thanks again.
Posted by: AOKI at November 18, 2006 11:32 AMYep, you played Metro, and it was a great gig. They had carpet on the floor, and you and another guy (he played your rhythm sounds?) played sitting down. I've always loved electronic music, but I'd never seen anyone perform just with laptops. So it made an impression on me. The visuals were also really interesting.
I remember asking you about your software, and you told me about Max. I bought it when I came home to California and really enjoyed trying to learn it, but it was too difficult for me. Ableton is easier for me to work with.
If you're thinking about playing North America, there are good electronic music scenes in Chicago, Vancouver, Toronto, Portland (Oregon), and of course New York and San Francisco. It's difficult for me to find experimental electronica in Los Angeles, but there are a couple goood places.
How do you find your gigs? Do you have promoters that you work with? Do you send demo CDs to clubs? I'm not a promoter, but I could suggest some places here in LA. In San Francisco, you could check with the Cycling74 people, a great store called Robotspeak.com, and a record store called Acquarius. There is also the San Francisco Electronic Music Festival every summer.
Gambatte kudasai! I hope to see you perform again someday!

and also thanks for telling me about booking in the US.
I'll try it someday.
>Do you have promoters that you work with?
I have somebody who promote in Japan but i don't have anybody in Europe. and I haven't send demo CDs to the clubs yet. So many things are not ready at the moment, and I'm sure i'll do it soon. thanks for your advice.
