Now Ryuichi Sakamoto-san is in the middle of his Europe tour. Last month I had a chance to shoot him during his rehearsal and concert in Berlin. I'd like to thank you to Sakamoto-san for giving me this amazing opportunity. I was super lucky that i had a chance to shoot him in really close distance while he was playing a piano. I had only listened to his music on CDs before, but this time i met him in front of me listening his real piano sound gave me another dimension of understanding about his music. it was really really beautiful.. Thank you so much Sakamoto-san!

Lucky you! The pics are great!
Did you talk about a collaboration opportunity?
His works (such as he did with Alva Noto) would perfectly meet yours

Wonderful scoots! It was my deepest dream to listen to a Maestro Sakamoto performance live, and I had my soul food in Milan at Arcimboldi's.
I'll never forget the emotional event, a kind of mistic reunion of armony and future...in my tears the reflection of pure art and genius.

Beautiful shots - really capture an atmosphere of tranquility, even in a busy tour.

I'm grateful for any details on his performances as I won't be able to see any of his UK shows :(

(I hope you don't mind but I put a thumbail of the second shot in a blog post about these, linked back here of course)

>Did you talk about a collaboration opportunity?

no, we have no plan to work together so far, but we talked about my remix of one of his works. and this helped me a lot to finish it.

it was my first time to see him playing piano in front of me, and it was an amazing experience for me. I got so much energy from this opportunity.
