パリは地下鉄が良く止まります。中の電気も消えて、ひどい時には３０分とか止まってます。
でもみんな何事もなかったかのようにじっと普通に待ってます。日本でこんなことあったら結構なニュースになるでしょうね。
Metro stops in the middle of the way quite often. Sometimes we need to wait 30 minutes in the dark train. But people just wait like "oh, again." until the train starts moving. If this kind of thing happens in Japan, it will be a quite big news, i guess.

今回はJaguar RD6のプロトタイプです。デザインが美しい、、考え抜かれたデザインって感じがします。またこれ見ながら曲作りました。。 あ、僕オタクじゃないです。
あと、凄いサイト見つけました。脱帽です。曲作りもこれぐらい頑張らないと。。

ミニカー買ってしまいました。。。 今年の初めにFerrariが新しいF1マシン"F2004"を発表した時に、その後ろの方に置いてあったかなり改造された360 modenaがずっと気になっていたんです。で、近所のミニカー専門店で発見。。フランスはイタリアが近い事もあって、このての精密なミニカーが日本よりも安く手に入るので嬉しいです（笑）このミニカーを眺めながら２曲作りました。良いモチベーションの源です。 あ、僕オタクじゃないです、多分。
I bought a mini car... I saw a photo of this car (360 modena) when Ferrari brouht out new F1 machine in the beginning of this year. I really liked it's design. Then i found the mini car of that car in the shop a few days ago. I'm glad that I can buy this kind of Italian made detailed mini car quite reasonable price in Paris, much cheaper than Osaka. I glanced this mini car while making music.. I get a lot of motivation from it :-)
oh, I forgot to tell you that I'm not OTAKU, I think.

何年か前に初めてパリに来た時にまず驚いたのが、路上駐車されている車と車の間隔です。
『どうやって出るんやろか。。』って思ってたら、案の定『ゴツッ、ゴツッ、ゴツッ』って感じで前後にまんべんなくブツけながら出て行ったのを観て驚きました。『あ〜、バンパーってそのためにあるのか！』って思いました。当てるためにあるんですよ、多分。
車がステータスシンボルとされている日本ではあり得ない話じゃないかと思うんですが。。。友人の話ではシャンゼリゼ通りに止めてあったフェラーリも容赦無くぶつけられていたそうです。凄い。フランス人凄い。恐るべし。
When i came to Paris fist time some years ago, i was surprised to see the way they park their car on the street. I thought the distance between each cars was too close..
i thought "How do they get out..?", then just as I expected, he hit the car in front and at the back little bit at the time when he went out. Then I knew why we need crumple zone for our cars! To hit! .. I think...
In Japan, cars are one of the status symbol for people. I think this hardly happen in my country.
My friend told me that one day a Ferrari was hit by another car on Champs-Elysees street.... Great. French people are GREAT.

もうすぐ５枚目のアルバムをPROGRESSIVE FOrMからリリースしていただく事になっているので、今回も映像作家のRYOICHI KUROKAWA君と共同でアルバムジャケットの基本デザインを作る事にしました。黒川君にはindigo roseのデザインもお願いしたんです。リョウ君、ありがとう。
メイルでのやりとりで仕事を進めても良かったんですが、やっぱり顔を見て声を聞いて話し合うっていうのは、文章だけや音声だけのコミュニケーションとは全く違う何かがあるように思えたので、今回はやり取りの手段としてiChat AVを使用しました。
今日はちょうどツジコノリコもウチに来てたので、３人で久しぶりに話せました。３人で会ったのは確か去年バルセロナであったsonarの時でしたから。
iChat AV凄い。５年前とかじゃ考えられなかった事ですもんね。。
I'm going to release my 5th album on PROGRESSIVE FOrM soon, then I asked RYOICHI KUROKAWA to design it's cover with me this time again. He designed the cover art of indigo rose too. Thank you Ryoichi.
We could work and communicate by e-mail, but woking face to face, even online, is totally different from communication with e-mail and phones. So this time, we used iChat AV to work together. I felt there's something special with this way of communication.
Today, tujiko noriko was together with me, so we talked a lot. It's been a while since we met all together.
I think it was last sonar in June 2003.

最近になってやっとパリも暖かくなってきました。でも日本の天気予報見てるとまだまだこっちの方が寒いですけど。
Now at last it's getting warmer in Paris.
However, according to the Japanese weather forecast it's still colder than Japan though..
やっぱり犬可愛いです。

ドレスデンで見かけたF1-shuttle。一つ前のv-classがベースになっているんですが、さすがメルセデス、足回りなど日本車にはないドッシリとした感じが素晴らしい。コレはF1ファンとしては見逃せない一台でした。ヨーロッパ車はタイヤが奇麗にタイヤルームに収まってますよね。。デザインにも無駄がないし。日本車ももっとこれに見習って欲しいです。
This is a "F1-shuttle " which i saw in Dresden. This car is one of the great design from Mercedes. I needed to shoot this car because i'm a big fan of Formura 1.
European car company have alway nice design, I think Japanese company should learn a lot from them.
ドレスデンで乗ったタクシーが、その名も"FUNK TAXI"。めちゃくちゃファンキーなタクシーかと思って次の展開を楽しみにしてたんですが、タクシー自体は全然ファンキーじゃなかったです。ドイツ語で"FUNK"は"電話する"っていう意味らしくて、”電話して呼ぶタクシー”っていう意味だそうです。
I took a taxi called "FUNK TAXI". I thought it was an extremely funky taxi, but unfortunately it was just a normal taxi...
"FUNK" means "make a phone call" in German. not funky taxi..
ライブの翌日の１１日は丸１日オフだったので、半野さん、イシダ君、僕の３人でドレスデンの街を観光しました。幸い前日の夜に降った雨も止んでその日は快晴に恵まれ、３人ともかなりのハイテンションで街に繰り出しました。
ベルリンでも同じ事を思ったんですが、とにかく街に人が少ないんです。丁度イースターの休みと重なっていたとは言え、それでも人が少ない。大阪、東京、パリと比べると、ベルリンなんてまるで無人じゃないかと思うぐらい人が少なかったです。
The next day on 11th, we went to city center of the Dresden for sight seeing with me and Mr.Hanno, and Daisuke. By luck, the rain stoped and it was really nice weather.
We didn't see any crowd in anywhere in the city. This is exactly the same thing what i thuoght in Berlin. I knew it was Easter holiday but still not so many people there. Maybe i could say "nobody there" compared to Osaka, Tokyo and Paris.
トラムで街の中心部らしき場所まで大体１０分ぐらいで、少し酔いました。。
トラムを降りてしばらく歩いていたらスティーブ・ライヒの音楽の様な音がどこからか聞こえてきたので、３人で吸い込まれるようにそっちに向かったんです。その音源に近づくにつれ徐々に音の輪郭がはっきりしてきて、もう３人ともさらにハイテンション。そこにあったのはFrauenkirche Dresdenという大戦時の爆撃で破壊された教会で、その音は教会から発せられた複数の鐘の音から構成される和音だったんです。当時の爆撃でその大半を破壊されたんですが、今は立派に再建されているその真っ最中でした。
いやー、ホントに凄い音でした。スピーカとか関係なく、実際に物が鳴るってやっぱり凄いです。
It took about 10 minutes to city center and i got tram sick a bit...
When we were walking on the street, we heard beautiful sound like Steve Reich's music from somewhere and we walked to the sound source. What we found was an old Church
called Frauenkirche Dresden which was bombed in World War. The sound was beutiful harmony from Chruch Bells.
Now they're in the middle of reconstruction. The sound from real Hardware without speakers is really amaizing....
その後は暗くなるまで３人で街中を歩きながら話したりして、最終的に『日本人もっと頑張らないと』っていう結論に至ったりしてました。ドレスデンはホントに奇麗な街でした。また行きたいです。
After that, we walked around the city till after dark, and we talked a lot about many things. Dresden is really beautiful city.. I'd like to visit there again someday.

昨日ドレスデンから帰ってきました。イベントには２００人以上の人たちが来てくれて
イベントもかなり盛り上がりました。

９日に半野さんと一緒にパリを出て、先に到着していたSWO
のイシダ君とドレスデンのステイ先で合流しました。
ベルリンから電車で移動したんですが、途中電車の中から風力発電用の風車が沢山見えて、
日本政府ももっと積極的に導入したら良いのになーって思いました。不思議な景色でした。。
me and Mr.Hanno left Paris on 9th, then we met Daisuke Ishida from SWO at where we stayed in Dresden.
We saw so many pinwheels for wind turbine generating on the way to Dresden by train from Berlin. I thought Japanese government should use more those pinwheels as soon as possible...
会場になったFestspiel Hellerauは１９世紀に建設された建物で、こんな素晴らしい場所を
僕たちみたいな音楽の発表の場として解放してくれるドイツって凄いなーって思いました。
東京はどうなのか分からないですけど、関西じゃ考えられないです。いつか日本も僕たちの
様な音楽に理解を示してくれれば嬉しいですね。じゃないといつかみんな発表の場を求めて
海外に出て行ってしまうような気がします。
The venue "Festspiel Hellerau" was built in 19th century. I thought that it's great
thing that we could have an opportunity to use this kind of beautiful buiding for our music. I don't know in Tokyo but i think this is impossible in Osaka erea.
I hope Japan will show understanding for this kind of music someday.
Otherwise I think many people will go out from Japan to find more opportunities to
express what they want to do.
イベントは先ほどお伝えした通りとても盛り上がりました。最初にnqことNils Quakがライブをして、その後に僕、半野さん、イシダ君という順番でした。
半野さんのライブは本当に凄い。音もいいし、センスもいい、音楽的に優れているし、
ファンキーだし、、言うとこありません。イシダ君も最後の方にリズムを入れたりして、
お客さんをめちゃめちゃ踊らせてました。みんなカッコ良かった。
As i wrote a the beginning, the party warmed up very much.
Nils Quak aka nq played first, then me, Mr.Hanno and Daisuke Ishida.
Mr. Hanno is one of the best musician I've ever met in my life.
His sound quality is really high, he has great sense of everything, and funky...
There's nothing to say... He's perfect.
This time Daisuke Ishida played groovy minimal beat at the end of his performance
, and people were dancing! They are all great!
ライブの後に地元でエレクトロニック・ミュージックに関するドキュメンタリーを
作っている人たちのインタビューを受けました。前にベオグラードやイタリアでも
同じようなインタビューを受けたんですが、僕たちの様な音楽がヨーロッパでは
アートとしてある程度認知されているようです。
素晴らしい。質問は結構難しかったけど（笑）

After the show we had a short interview of people who makes documentary film of electonic music in Dreden.
I had this kind of interview in Belgrade and Italy before, but i thought people in
Europe recognize electronic music as a part of art. This is great.
The questions were a bit difficult for us though....

明日から半野さんとドレスデンに行ってきます。
呼んでくださったオーガナイザーと関係者の方々に感謝。
ドレスデンには行った事がなくて、どんな町なのか全然知らなかったんですが、
今日半野さんのお友達のサワさんが『凄い良い街やで』って教えてくれたので
結構二人して盛り上がってます。めっちゃ楽しみ。
はー、フランス語難しい。。やっと１００まで数えられるようになりました。

Me and Mr.Yoshihiro Hanno are going to Dresden tomorrow for our LIVE show.
I'd like to say thank you to the organizer and all the people involved for this event.
We've never been there and didn't have any idea about that city, but
Mr.Sawa who's Mr.Hanno's friend told me that it's quite nice city.
We're now really looking forward to it.

僕は今年２月末からパリに活動の拠点移しました。
パリにはなぜかいつも縁があって、過去なんども仕事で来ていたんです。
ヨーロッパの中でも交通の便が良くて、ヨーロッパで活動するにあたって
便利かなーって思ってパリにしました。
こっちに来て１ヶ月経って、やっと落ち着いたって感じです。
機材もようやく揃って、今からちょっとずつ新しい曲も作っていこうと思って
